Virtual dice, like the one above, are almost always based on pseudo-random number generating algorithms, which are also not truly random. However, a virtual dice roll is likely more close to true randomness than most physical dice. Can you cheat at dice?
The easiest way to cheat is to simply lie about the result. Rolling in an obscured location and the disturbing or scooping up the dice will prevent other players from being able to verify the number, but is bad practice whether you are cheating or not and other players may become suspicious. Can you predict a dice roll?

Dice Roll ProbabilityAs you can see, 7 is the most common roll with two six-sided dice. You are six times more likely to roll a 7 than a 2 or a 12, which is a huge difference. You are twice as likely to roll a 7 as you are to roll a 4 or a 10.
Are dice always the same?
There are many different types of dice used in tabletop role-playing games; each of their rolls are affected by friction and initial position, as well as the force and direction of the throw. Dungeons & Dragons may be known for its classic 20-sided die, but there are many other shapes used throughout the game. How do you always get 6 on dice?
Loaded diceIf you were to drill out the number one, this means that the number six is more likely to appear, as the six is always on the opposite face to the one. Another way of loading a die would be to slightly change its shape, so that it is more likely to keep rolling.
